History of Andy Wolf

 

 

Andy Wolf was originally founded by three friends Andreas (Andy), Wolfgang (Wolf) and Katharina in 2006 in Hartberg Austria, with the aim of producing unique, contemporary glasses frames. Since 2006 the brand has grown and is now sold around the world. The glasses are worn by top celebrities such as Solange, featured in iconic fashion magazines and known not only for their stylish designs but also for sustainable, handmade production.

Andy Wolf’s product range is made up of quirky stylish frames made from the best quality materials. Handmade in Austria with a keen eye for detail, they are proud of their detailed design and manufacturing process and that is why we love to stock this brand. Their entire production process goes through rigorous quality control, checked for irregularities and scrutinised at every checkpoint. They also use state of the art, computer-driven machines and their mechanical perception can pick out flaws in just the same way as any of the Andy Wolf employees.

 

 

There are many production stages, from initially designing an Andy Wolf frame to making sure it is top quality when arriving at Fashion Eyewear. The first focus is on shaping the temples and the initial style of the frame. After the design and manufacturing the frame goes through more rigorous stages of cleaning, grinding and polishing the ceramic marbles, softer wood and bamboo so they are the ultimate comfort when worn as well as aesthetically pleasing with a shine.

 

 

Each Andy Wolf model has its own origin, each sketch is entered into a digital CAD system and turned into the most luxurious pair of glasses or sunglasses using the finest materials. When you hold a pair of Andy Wolf frames you can feel the quality and see the attention to detail they are so proud of. Their high-quality acetate is sourced from an Italian factory, most of these acetates are sustainably produced from hardened cotton flocks.
