At Fashion Eyewear, your vision matters. Our Perfect Prescription Guarantee ensures that your prescription lenses will be made accurately to the details provided. If it's not perfect for your visionary needs, we’ll either put it right or refund you in full.

Here’s when you can count on our Perfect Prescription Guarantee:

All Prescription Orders
Applies to complete glasses and sunglasses purchased directly from Fashion Eyewear (frames + prescription lenses).

Prescription Accuracy Guarantee:
If the prescription lenses do not match the prescription provided by the customer, the customer can request a free replacement, adjustment or return.

Manufacturing Errors
This covers any errors made in processing the prescription or the lens itself (e.g., wrong prescription type, wrong power, etc.).

Lens Quality Guarantee:
If the lenses are defective or of poor quality (e.g., scratches, coating issues, or distortion), the customer can receive a full refund or exchange for new lenses.

One Pair Per Quarter
Our guarantee applies to one pair of glasses per customer within any three-month period.

Refund or Remake
If we confirm an error, we’ll either remake your lenses free of charge or give you a full refund — whichever you prefer.

Multiple Pairs in One Order
If you buy more than one pair in the same order, we’ll cover one pair in full under the guarantee. For any additional pairs, we’ll refund the frame cost but not the lenses.

Prescription Changes
If your prescription changes after you place your order, we can’t remake or refund lenses based on the new prescription.

Damage After Delivery
Returns may be declined if frames or lenses are damaged after delivery — including accidental damage, misuse, or normal wear and tear.

Non-Prescription Products
Sunglasses or other products without prescription lenses are excluded.

Smart Glasses
Devices such as Ray-Ban Meta or Oakley Meta smart glasses are not covered by this guarantee.

Re-Glaze Orders
This guarantee does not apply to Re-Glaze orders where you send us your own frame to be fitted with new lenses.

Contact our Customer Care team within 14 days of receiving your order if you have an issue.

Provide your order number and a copy of your prescription if you would like our optical team to investigate your issue and provide a suitable resolution.

If you'd simply like to return for a refund without investigation, provide your order number and the reason for return and we'll provide the necessary details to return them to us.

Return shipping is at your cost

Please return items in their original condition, including packaging, case, cleaning cloth, and any accessories.

If any items are missing from the original purchase this may be deducted from the refund cost. Also if the frame or lenses show signs of wear or damage, we may not be able to accept the return

Refunds will be processed within 7–10 working days after confirmation.

Replacements will be dispatched as quickly as possible, usually within our standard production lead time.

Shipping costs for replacements going back to the customer (if required) will be covered by Fashion Eyewear.

This guarantee is intended to give you peace of mind when purchasing prescription eyewear online. Fashion Eyewear reserves the right to decline claims where we believe the guarantee is being misused or abused.

This guarantee is in addition to, and does not affect, your statutory consumer rights.

Enter Manually: Fill in each field using our step-by-step guide. We’ve made it simple — just follow our step-by-step guide for each field (SPH, CYL, AXIS, ADD, PD).

Send Later: Choose “send later” and email it to us after checkout.

Whichever option you choose, we’ll check it carefully before making your lenses.

Your prescription will have been given to you by your optician after your last eye test — within the last two years.

It includes numbers for SPH, CYL, AXIS, ADD (for reading or varifocal lenses), and sometimes PD (pupillary distance).

If you can’t find it, ask your optician for a copy — they are required to provide it if requested.

We’ve made it simple — just follow our step-by-step guide for each field (SPH, CYL, AXIS, ADD, PD).

PD (pupillary distance) is the distance between the centres of your pupils. It helps us make sure your lenses are perfectly aligned for clear, comfortable vision.

You can occassionally find PD on your prescriptions — it’s often listed as a number between 54–72mm.

Choose the type of lens that would best suit your lifestyle or application.

Single Vision - Distance - Lenses with one prescription for distance use eg. driving or general use.

Single Vision - Reading - Lenses with one prescription for reading use eg. reading a book or using a computer

Varifocal / Progressive - Lenses that include distance, intermediate and reading in one lens. There is a gradual change in prescription from distance vision at the top to near vision at the bottom. These are best suited for everyday general use (only choose if your prescription has an addition/ Add / reading prescription).

Single Vision Intermediate - You use your glasses for intermediate distance such as cooking or computer, your prescription should include intermediate or INTER ADD

Ready Reader - Both lenses with the same + SPH. Best used for emergency/backup glasses.

Clear – No tint, regular lenses, available in a variety of thicknesses and coatings.

Light sensitive – Light-sensitive lenses are ideal if you don’t like swapping between your normal glasses and sunglasses. They darken automatically, in response to bright light like the sun and lighten again when the light levels decrease. Transitions are the branded version.

Sunglass lenses – these full UVA/UVB protected lenses. Available in a variety of different tints.

Polarised Sunglasses - has additional layers to filter out more UV rays and reduce additional glare.

Gradient Sunglasses - This is a graduated tint which gradually gets lighter towards the bottom of the lens. 100% UV protection.

Mirror Sunglasses - This gives the lenses a mirror finish. They have a reflective optical coating on the outside of the lenses. 100% UV protection.

Standard - 1.5 index, not suitable for rimless frames. Suitable for prescriptions under total power +/-2.00

Polycarbonate – 1.59 polycarbonate lenses are impact resistant. Suitable for sports and for low to medium prescriptions (between total power +/-2.00 to +/-4.00)

Thin - 1.6 index. Suitable for low to medium prescriptions (between total power +/-2.00 to +/-4.00) and for all frames.

Thinner - 1.67 index. Suitable for medium to high prescriptions (between total power +/-4.00 to +/-6.00) and most frames.

Thinnest - 1.74 index. Suitable for high prescriptions (over +/-6.00) Not suitable for rimless frames.Lens Coatings.

Lens coatings improve comfort, protection, and clarity. All our lenses come as standard with anti reflection and anti scratch coating.

Anti-Scratch/Anti-Glare - This lens has a scratch resistant and a anti-reflection/anti-glare coating

Blue computer coating – Our blue computer coating is designed to enhance contrast on digital screens, reduce visual stress and reduce the level of high energy blue light. The coating includes: Scratch resistant, anti-reflection/anti-glare, smudge resistance, water repellent & dust repellent. This lens is also an 18 month warranty to any scratches on the lens. Please note the lens will NOT be tinted blue, it will only be the coating.

DriveCoat - DriveCoat Coatings are cutting-edge optical solutions crafted to elevate your driving encounters with unmatched clarity and comfort, especially during challenging conditions. The lens appearance will have an orangy-golden hue reflection.

Elite – Our Elite coating has many features and includes: Scratch resistant, Anti-reflection, Easy to Clean, Smudge Resistant, Water repellent, Dust repellent, 100% UV protection. NO QUIBBLE GUARANTEE Free lens replacement for scratches within 18 months.

We recommend at least anti-reflection and scratch-resistant coatings for everyday wear.

Prescriptions are usually valid for two years. If you’re unsure, check the date or ask your optician to confirm it’s current.
