The new Chloé Spring-Summer 2023 Eyewear Collection, designed under the creative direction of Gabriel a Hearst, comp rises a sophisticated range of sunglasses and optical frames that fully align with the Maison’s goal of creating beautiful products with a meaningful impact. The season’s breakthrough main innovation, the new Gayia line, reaffirms Chloé’s commitment to using regenerated material s. The Gayia sunglasses are entirely made of ReAce, a 100% recycled acetate derived from pre-consumer acetate scraps, with the aim of using what already exists while simultaneously maintaining an elevated sense of style and craftsmanship . The Gayia frames come in a range of styles including vintage square, round, aviator and oversized square shapes. Black and Havana colored frames will run consistently through out the eyewear collections, while unique seasonal colour blends feature natural and earthy tones such as vegetal green, crystal brown and blush nude. Every design is engraved with the Gayia founding principle on the inside of the temple alongside the colour name and its limited edition numbering, which makes it very unique. Its packaging is fashioned from bonded leather composed of up to 52% recycled material s to reflect the spirit of the Gayia range. Alongside this new addition to Chloé eyewear collections, the SS23 offer al so features some of the Maison’s signature silhouettes in light metal , which fuse retro allure with modern femininity. Their refined finishes embody Chloé’ s bohemian and free -spirited attitude: The Honoré styles feature scalloped shaped rims – an ode to the iconic detail s of the Maison’ s ready-to-wear and accessory designs. The Idora sunglasses are embellished with luxurious lower stitching to emphasize their rimless construction. The curves of the Elys frames are enhanced with coloured metal and thin temples completed with a logo engraved plaque. The Elys mini me of the children’s offer follows the same refined and nonchalant aesthetic. Available as both optical and sunglasses, the designs are characterized by playful accents on easy to wear shapes in luminous metal.
