Miu Miu MU04LV Review

Miu Miu is an edgy and youthful brand that was launched in 1993.

The brand is headed by Miuccia Prada who named it after her nickname and what her friends called her at school. Miuccia Prada is the current Creative Director for the luxurious Italian fashion house Prada. Prada was founded in 1913 by Miuccia’s grandfather; Mario Prada. Miu Miu’s style differs from Prada's traditional elegance by taking more bold risks and being provocative.

Due to Miu Miu’s success and unique identity it is classed separately from Prada and is its own brand within its own right. The instantly recognisable style is characterized by avant-garde, sensual and adventurous expression. The brand is targeted for women with a modern spirit and who is daring to try new styles. As of 2005, it officially had its independent identity of a youthful and trendy lifestyle. The brand’s eyewear was released in 2011 and is playful in experimenting with new colours and funky shapes. Many celebrities are huge fans of the brand and the unconventional eyewear shapes. Miu Miu eyewear first became popular because of the sunglasses. The unconventional 5-sided acetate shaped sunglasses, with thin metal arms, is currently a huge fashion trend.

The Miu Miu MU04LV is the latest optical release from the brand’s eyewear collection. After the success of the sunglasses they decided to focus on the optical range. This model is a more tame and wearable version of the funky best-selling sunglasses. They still retain the playful style with a five-sided shape but has a more cat-eye feel to it and isn’t as oversized. The arms and nose bridge is held together by strong metal. The ear socks are made of acetate, the same as the front of the frames, as this rests more comfortable around the ears.

The MU04LV is available in a wide range of colours including classic black, blue and glittery pink. The style although unconventional is flattering to suit most faces. They are also very comfortable to wear due to the lightweight feel of the frame. If you are looking for something different from the ordinary rectangular or rounded eyewear, these are perfect as they are like nothing else out there and super stylish.
