Autumn/Winter Eyewear Trends 2014/15

Happy New Year to all our readers and customers! The new fashion season has arrived and designers across the fashion industry have started incorporating eyewear to pull together their key autumn/winter looks. We have seen loud and boldly decorated shoes from Dolce & Gabbana with matching sunglasses to go with them. With brocades being in this season, the dynamic duo have incorporated the golden hues and textures onto their frames creating a Streisand/Streep effect. The message seems to be “Go loudly and proudly” staying true to the high class and aristocratic feel the brand has acquired over the years.
Below are some trendy Dolce & Gabbana picks (Top: Glasses and Bottom: Sunglasses) from our website. Accessorise with some flower detail for a feminine feel as seen on the runway.
A stark contrast to Dolce & Gabbana’s bold designs is Fendi who have decided to keep this season’s clothing nice and clean much like their eyewear designs. For the understated but classy look, they showcased slim and solid coloured rims. With winter being picked on as the dreary season they decided to show solid block shapes and colours to brighten up your wardrobe and transition well into spring. These along with their colour neutral frames will be sure to work well together for an effortless look.
We have the exact frames Fendi used on their runway in a 'crystal brown/pink gradient' combo that is sure to be a warm rush of colour for the winter and transition well into spring. We have also included a more neutral option for those who still want to make a statement but in an understated fashion.
One common theme has remained constant amongst all the designers who have managed to release their collections and that is making sure that a slick and shiny frame perfect for winter is showcased. We have also seen an incorporation of the beloved tortoise shell frames from Ralph Lauren. Along with the polo shirts, the tortoise shell frame is a stylish piece that can be used all throughout the year and makes for a very wise investment.
A nice winter hat is the perfect accompanying accessory for these Ralph Lauren glasses.
Making a statement with military, Gucci have managed to ascend to the frontline. Fortunately, here at Fashion Eyewear we have a wide range of 'new military' framed glasses from Gucci to Prada and Emporio Armani to name a few. The versatility of these frames allow for you to not only stand out but enable you to compose multiple closet combinations featuring black, white, grey and brown. The four main autumn/winter colours, so you will be covered.

Fashion favourites Marc Jacobs have incorporated shiny lacquered frames in their new autumn/winter collections. Although the design is simple and minimalistic, they have shown that you do not need to have too many distractions as it can minimize the versatility of the glasses, lens colours although minimal ranged in variety. They will work all year round and for a few years as their simplicity is timeless and offers great potential

On the other end of the fashion spectrum we can see that Michael Kors has used a “Bardot” type frame and managed to make sure to portray the elegance and femininity the actress had in the 60’s.
