Mont Blanc is a prestigious brand that was founded in 1906. It was founded by stationer Claus-Johannes Voss, banker Alfred Nehemias and engineer August Ebestein. The German brand initially specialized in stationary and became popular when they crafted the Montblanc fountain pen in 1910. Their famous logo consists of a six point white star with rounded edges. The logo represents a snowcap and was first seen in 1913.
Mont Blanc Today
The brand was acquired by Dunhill in 1977 but is now part of the Richemont Group. Richemont also owns other elite, high-end brands such as Cartier, Chloe and Van Cleef & Arpels. Mont Blanc now designs watches, jewellery and eyewear as well as writing instruments.
Mont Blanc Eyewear
Mont Blanc eyewear launched in 2003 and is highly respected in the optical industry. The excellent craftsmanship and exquisite attention to detail combines both function and fashion. This ensures that the eyewear, not only protects the eyes and provides optimum vision, but also looks stylish and sophisticated.
Eyewear As A Work Of Art
The brand ensures their designs are masterpieces as they have an artist, by the name of Marius Watz, who designs the artwork for the eyewear. Watz focuses on the curves of the glasses and develops a motif to incorporate on to the curves. This gives the glasses and sunglasses a unique identity and makes them a work of art. The brand is known for being one of a kind and setting trends, with its reputation for over a century, so it is no surprise this much detail is given in the eyewear.
The eyewear styles consist of a vast majority to suit both men and women’s tastes. There are a wide range of colours and patterns, classic shapes and some designs include Swarovski crystals; if the wearer wants something more bold and glamorous. All of the designs are timeless and classic which is why they remain successful and perfect for any era. Many Hollywood elites are known to like the brand’s designs and are connected to Mont Blanc, including Johnny Depp, Nicholas Cage and Julianne Moore.
